Senior Preparatory Art Teacher


(w.e.f. 1 January 2018 or soonest thereafter)

Dainfern College is an independent English-medium, coeducational school situated on Broadacres Drive, Dainfern, catering for Grades 0-12. We seek to develop skills for life required to unlock unique personal potential and to nurture creative thinkers with the confidence to become leaders – through the provision of an innovative, relevant and quality education.

Dainfern College seeks to employ a teacher with experience in teaching Intermediate / Senior Phase Art to Grade 4-7 pupils. The preferred candidate would need to be prepared to be fully involved in the school’s extramural programme.

The successful candidate will also need:

  • At least three years’ experience of teaching art within a school environment
  • A professional teaching qualification and SACE registration
  • To be innovative and open to embracing change and 21st Century teaching methodologies
  • A sound knowledge of the National Curriculum (CAPS)
  • The ability to nurture and develop pupils’ creativity 
  • To be able to facilitate an Art Club to further enhance pupils’ love of Art
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • A passion for learning and for teaching children
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound computer literacy skills
