Our budding Grade 3 entrepreneurs

The Grade 3s held their market day last week, and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Excitement was certainly in the air, from the very start of the day. They were given strict guidelines and were only allowed to sell homemade products. It was a day of hustling in the sun, but the most important part was that they had fun while learning about supply and demand, as well as learning to work with money. They had to work in groups so collaboration and teamwork were a priority.

Here's what the children had to say about the day.

We really enjoyed the new rule that you could only sell homemade stuff

Market day was the best day of Grade 3. We loved working together as a group. We had lots and lots of fun

We think Market day was a great success, the popcorn was gone in minutes. Our game went viral.

We enjoyed making popcorn, smoothies and mini doughnuts.

We enjoyed Market day because we got to spend time with our friends and it was a good learning experience.

We were successful and sold out of mostly everything. #teambosses

We loved the fact that we almost finished everything and the lemonade sold out almost immediately.

Everyone came to our store for lemonade.

We loved working as a team.

It was fun getting hit by water.
