Violin Teacher

Dainfern College is an independent English-medium, co-educational school situated on Broadacres Drive, Dainfern. We seek to develop skills for life required to unlock unique personal potential and to nurture creative thinkers with the confidence to become leaders – through the provision of an innovative, relevant, and quality education.

Dainfern College seeks the services of a violin teacher with a passion for children and music education to work under the auspices of the Dainfern College Music department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching young children to play the violin in individual and group lessons.
  • Keep students excited and motivated to learn, practise and achieve good results.
  • Attend and lead weekly Group classes on Wednesday at 06h45 and Thursdays at 13h20.
  • Be an active member of a dynamic string department to contribute to and strengthen the team.
  • Prepare children for concerts, assemblies, exams, eisteddfodau and attend when they are performing.

Minimum requirements include:

  • BMus degree or suitable teaching qualification.
  • Sound musical knowledge and technical skills.
  • Understanding of teaching children with different styles of learning and from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Well-developed communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Competency in administration tasks.

Piano skills would be an added advantage.
